Description
Generation Church, located in Jupiter, Florida, is a non-denominational place of worship with a multi-generational congregation. Pastors Ben and Melissa Pierce, wishing to expand their gathering space and growing ministry, were drawn to the historically significant structure, rich with religious reverence, located on Center Street in the historic neighborhood.
Formed in 1917, and presided over by pastor and lighthouse keeper H.H. Jones, The People’s Congregational Church was the first organized church in the area. Although it has changed names and weathered many storms over the years, the spirit and promise of the site were appealing to the Pierce’s.

Details
When faced with the challenge of preserving and improving the existing structure, while honoring its symbolic history, Generation Church turned to Jon Olson and his firm, Spalding Design Group, LLC. Our team of professionals renovated the existing sanctuary to maximize the seating capacity and improve the acoustics, allowing Pastors Ben and Melissa to take full advantage of the expanded facilities. New additions were thoughtfully designed around the historic chapel to accommodate the needs of the church’s children’s ministry, providing a large communal fellowship space and main entry, and creating new space for a wide range of existing and future programs.
